WESTBANK United, Phoenix Swifts and Clifton Villa all opened their new Saturday Morning League Premier Division campaign with opening victories in wet and windy conditions last weekend.

United recorded a good win in Strabane while Swifts had to pull out all the stops to see off the challenge of Clooney while Villa brushed aside Creggan Swifts when recording a comfortable victory.

In the Championship Gransha Institute accounted for Art Deco; Sion Swifts defeated Drumahoe while Tamnaherin Celtic got the better of Tristar.

And in the First Division Culmore suffered a home defeat agaisnt Oakleaf Celtic with the Metro also getting off to a losing start against HML. Foyle Athletc, however, overcame the challenge of Phoenix Swifts Athletic while City Colts and Hatmore shared the points in an eight goal thriller.
