The traditional St. Stephen’s Day Gilfillan Cup Final has been postponed until the New Year after the recent inclement weather meant the semi-finals were unable to be completed.

The Bentley Bar North West Saturday Morning League had hoped to reschedule the two last four clashes between Newton Heath/Brandywell Celtic and Tamnaherin Celtic/City Colts but not all semi-finalists could agree on new dates due to work and other commitments.

The Committee therefore took the decision that the two scheduled semi-finals and final will be played early in the New Year with a date yet to be finalised.

The Committee also took the opportunity to wish sponsors, teams and members of the league a very peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year.
