Gilfillan Cup quarter-finals highlight weekend action

THREE quarter-final ties in the Gilfillan Cup competition highlights this weekend’s action in the Rathmor Motors Pre-MOT Centre North-West Saturday Morning League programme.

First Division representatives, HML, take on Premier outfit Clifton Villa at the Prehen Playing Fields and in an all-Premiership clash Du Pont will lock horns with Westbank United at the Templemore Sports Complex.

The third quarter-final tie is another all-Premiership clash as Strabane Athletic entertain Clooney i.

The fourth quarter-final,which will be played tomorrow week, is the game between Brandywell Cletic and The Metro.

Meanwhile, in the Premier Division, Creggan Swifts face Phoenix Swifts, also at Prehen while Brandywell Celtic take on Rosemount in St. Columb’s Park.

In the Championship Sion Swifts welcome the Bentley to Strabane and Gransha Institute entertain Tristar in the Riverside Stadium.

There is just one other game in The Championship with Collon Celtic taking on Art Deco at Leafair Park.

In the First Division, City Colts entertain Oakleaf Celtic at The Showgrounds while Phoenix Athletic Colts face Culmore at Lisnagelvin. Foyle Athletic will face Oxford United, also at Lisnagelvin.
