WESTBANK United extended their 100 per cent record with their sixth consecutive league victory on Saturday, defeating Rosemount and while they remain four points adrift of Premier Division leaders, Clifton Villa, they hold a signficent three games in hand.
Indeed, it was a case of goals galore in last weekend’s programme with the 11 games played returning no fewer than 64 strikes.
Westbank continued to issue a statement of intent with a 7-4 win while Brandywell Celtic hammered Clooney.
As expected Clifton Villa comprehensively defeated Strabane while Pheonix Swifts were also well beaten by Creggan Celtic.
In the Championship Gransha Institute came from two goals behind to defeat Tamnaherin and Bentley had an easy win over Newton Heath. Sion Swifts and Tristar shared the spoils and Art Deco also had to come from behind to overcome the challenge of Drumahoe.
In the First Division the league leaders HML and Metro both had good wins and Oxford United and Oakleaf Celtic had to settle for a share of the spoils.
