THE GILFILLAN Cup continues to dominate the Saturday Morning League programme with goals galore recorded in last weekend’s programme.

In Group 3 Tamnaherin Celtic had a good win over Collegians while Oxford United defeated Sion Swifts. Westbank United and Collon Celtic both recorded wins in Group 4 while in Group 5 Benbradagh Colts hammered Northside 5-1 while Clifton Villa thumped a demoralised Rosemount 11-1.

In Group 7 Culmore lost at home to Foyle Harps while in Group 8 Creggan Swifts defeated Du Pont 4-2 but Clooney impressed when they hammered Foyle Athletic 10-1.

There was also a league game played in the First Division as HML and Oakleaf Celtic shared the spoils after a 1-1 result.

Saturday, September 8th - Premier Division - Brandywell Celtic v Foyle Harps (Showgrounds); Rosemount v Creggan Swifts (Lisnagelvin 4); Du Pont v Clifton Villa (Du Pont); Westbank United v Phoenix Swifts (Prehen No. 1); Drumahoe v Clooney (YMCA).

The Championship - Newton Heath v Strabane Athletic (Prehen No. 6); Foyle Athletic v Gransha Institute (Templemore Central); Sion Swifts v Northside Stars (Strabane); Rocking Chair v Benbradagh Colts (Vale Centre).

First Division - Art Deco v Collon Celtic (St. Columb’s 2); Oxford United v Tristar (Thornhill College); Oakleaf Celtic v Collegians (Leafair Park); Culmore v HML (Culmore).

Saturday, September 15th - Premier Division - Rosemount v Brandywell Celtic (St. Columb’s 2); Foyle Harps v Du Pont (Leafair Park); Creggan Swifts v Westbank United (Prehen 6); Clifton Villa v Drumahoe (Lisnagelvin 2); Phoenix Swifts v Clooney (Templemore Central).
