A MICKEY Dillon strike against Porter’s was enough to see league leaders, Abercorn, consolidate their position on the summit of the Derry & District F.A. Premier Division on Sunday.

To be fair, Porter’s battled to the end and were unfortunate to see a late “goals” ruled out for offside as Aberorn breathed a sigh of relief.

Top of the Hill Celtic enjoyed a convincing victory over Tristar while Lisahally overcame the challenge of Don Bosco’s and Oxford United Stars were held at home by Culmore.

In Division One, leaders Crescent thumped The Bentley while Derry City ran out easy winners in their game against Campbell’s; Strand United and AOH shared the spoils while Phoenix remain in third spot following their victory over City Herald and Ballymoor beat Maydown.
