Top of the Hill Celtic will go into tomorrow night’s McAlinden Cup quarter-final in confident mood after emphatically knocking Premier Division champions, Park Bar out of the competition on Sunday.

The Waterside club will battle it out with Abercorn in one of two quarter-finals to be played tomorrow (Tuesday) as they seek a place in this year’s semi-final.

In the second quarter-final tie to be played tomorrow night, Lisahally will meet Phoenix in Strathfoyle. Both matches kick-off at 6.30 p.m.

Meanwhile, on Thursday Tristar and Brandywell Harps will go head to head for a place in the final four when they meet at Prehen. (KO 6.30p.m).

Fixtures - Tuesday, April 29th: McAlinden Cup quarter-finals - Top of the Hill Celtic v Abercorn (Lisnagelvin 2); Lisahally v Phoenix (Strathfoyle); Thursday, May 1st - Tristar v Brandywell Harps (Prehen 2). All games to kick-off at 6.30 p.m.

Results from Sunday, April 27th: McAlinden Cup 1st round - Crescent were unable to field a side against Brandywell Harps therefore Harps progress to the quarter-finals; Top of the Hill Celtic 4, Park Bar 0; Abercorn 4, Campbell’s 3 (after extra-time); Quarter-final - Culmore Colts 2, Trojans 4.
