THERE WAS no change at the top of the Saturday Morning League Premier Division last weekend with both Westbank United and Phoenix Swifts recording victories.

However, Clifton Villa and Foyle Harps shared the spoils in a 1-1 results while in the relegation battle, Oxford United defeated Du Pont 3-1.

In the Championship, Sion Swifts stunned Tamnaherin Celtic when winning 3-0 in Lettershandoney and in the First Division the leaders, Gransha Institute, were held to a 3-3 result by bottom club Collegians while Benbradagh Colts overcame the challenge of Hatmore Harps.

Collon Celtic produced the come-back of the day when defeating Top of the Hill Celtic 6-5 having been 4-0 in arrears while Oakleaf United shared the spoils in their game with HML.

Meanwhile, League Secretary, George Hegarty, has been forced to step down from his post for a period of three months and in the interim, Patsy Dunne will take over the role of League Secretary. He can be contacted at Phoenix Bed & Breakfast, 138 Bishop Street (tel. 07712196088).

Finally, the Committee, on behalf of everyone associated with the Saturday Morning League, would like to extend deepest sympathy to Wesley Boyd, the Chairman of Drumahoe FC, following the death of his mother.

May she rest in peace.
