Early season pace-setters, Abercorn and Park Bar both secured comfortable wins on Sunday to maintain their positions at the top of the Premier Division table.

Abercorn defeated bottom of the table side, Oxford United Stars while Park Bar recorded an emphatic victory over Porter’s.

Oxford United are still seeking their first points of the season while Porter’s will have to pick themselves up from that demoralising loss to Park Bar.

Elsewhere in the division Trojans coasted to victory over Crescent. Trojans netted nine past their Creggan neighbours the last time they met in the Top Four Cup last season and this time they netted five past their opponents.

Meanwhile, Top of the Hill Celtic recorded a hard earned win over Derry City; Brandywell Harps defeated Tristar in a seven goal thriller and Lisahally secured an excellent away win against Ballymoor.

Also on Sunday, Phoenix defeated Culmore Colts while Culmore registered their first points of the season with a fine home win over Campbell’s.

Results - Trojans 5, Crescent 1; Tristar 3, Brandywell Harps 4; Oxford 0, Abercorn 2; Derry City 1, Top of the Hill Celtic 3; Phoenix 2, Culmore Colts 1; Porter’s 2, Park Bar 6; Culmore 4, Campbell’s 1; Ballymoor 1, Lisahally 3.
