OXFORD United Stars produced the result of the weekend in the Derry & District F.A. when Paul Roddy’s youngsters produced the goods to record a thoroughly deserved 3-1 victory over Premier Division leaders, Abercorn.

However, with Top of the Hill Celtic not in action last weekend, Abercorn will remain on top of the table for another week at least.

Title chasing Trojans moved closer to the top having defeated Don Bosco’s in the Creggan derby while the Park Bar enjoyed a good weekend when they hammered Tristar.

Lishally recorded a good away victory when they defeated Culmore while Porter’s were defeated by Brandywell Harps.

Meanwhile, in the First Division Derry City joined Crescent on the top of the table after the “Candy Stripes” defeated Maydown and Crescent were held to a draw by the Rocking Chair.

At Killea, the home side were held to a 3-3 result by Phoenix while Campbell’s recorded a narrow win over the City Herald.

Sunday’s Results - Premier Division - Park Bar 5, Tristar 1; Culmore 0, Lisahally 2; Abercorn 1, Oxford United Stars 3; Brandywell Harps 3, Porter’s 0 and Don Bosco’s 0, Trojans 4.

Division One - City Herald 2, Campbell’s 3; Maydown 0, Derry City 3; Killea N.C. 3, Phoenix 3 and Rocking Chair 2, Crescent 2.
