Brandywell Harps caused a major upset in the first round of the Terry Kelly Cup as they knocked favourites, Park Bar out of the competition on Sunday.
Harps defeated Park after extra-time as Ryan Toland netted the winning goal to end their opponents’ remarkable unbeaten run.
Joining Harps in the second round will be Trojans who also produced a superb result against a Derry City team fighting for the Premier Division title.
The Creggan men progressed to the next round after a tightly contested encounter which was decided by a single goal.
In the Culmore derby clash it was Culmore who emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over Culmore Colts.
And in the other Terry Kelly Cup meeting, Tristar defeated Phoenix in a high scoring encounter in Prehen.
There was only one league fixture which took place on Sunday and the spoils were shared in the top eight clash between Abercorn and Campbell’s with both sides scoring two goals apiece.
