Last year’s Gilfillan Cup finalists Creggan Swifts crashed out of the competition at the weekend after they were defeated by Brandywell Harps at the Quarter-Final stage.

In Group 7 of the competition, Hatmore failed in their attempt to reach the last eight after they could only manage a draw with Tamnaherin Celtic in a game they had to win. In the second of the weekend quarter-finals Newton Heath managed to see off Sion Swifts to grab their semi final berth.
