There were no major shocks as the The Bentley Bar North West Saturday Morning League 2015/16 season got underway with most games following the form book.

In the Premier Division, HML made a winning start in the top flight as they defeated Hatmore Harps while current champions, Creggan Swifts, had to come from behind to see off a spirited Bentley. Rosemount and Westbank United shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw while Brandywell Celtic had a very comfortable 6-0 win over Du Pont.

In the Championship, Phoenix Athletic Colts defeated Clooney in a seven goal thriller, Strabane Athletic enjoyed a 6-0 stroll against Artigarvan, Foyle Harps and Sion Swifts drew 1-1 draw and Newton Heath had a narrow win over Tristar. In the last of the weekend’s action, Culmore had to come from two goals down to defeat Foyle FC at The Point.
