DERRY City Council Grounds Staff were praised by Saturday Morning League officials following last weekend’s full programme, the quality of the Council’s pitches described as superb.

In the Premier Division, Brandywell Celtic defeated Du Pont while Westbank United came from behind to beat Rosemount. Foyle Harps had a good win away at Drumahoe and Clooney and Creggan Swifts shared the spoils. In the “match of the Day” Phoenix Swifts and Clifton Villa also shared the spoils after what was a thrilling game.

In the Championship Strabane Athletic and Northside shared the spoils while Gransha Institute hammered Sion Swifts 5-1. Benbradagh also had a good win as they comprehensively defeated Foyle Athletic 6-0.

In the First Division Collon Celtic hammered Collegians while Art Deco suffered their first defeat in the league as they went down 4-1 to HML.

Tristar had a good away win at Culmore and Oakleaf Celtic were beaten by Hatmore Harps.
