Derry Colts and Sion Swifts played out an enthralling draw at Strabane on Saturday in the National League in front of a sizeable crowd.
Colts pinned back Swifts from the start and saw efforts from Shea McConomy, Aaron McCullough and Aaron McGurk shave the post.
Midway through the half Colts deservedly took the lead when Dylan Sheerin smashed a wonderful strike from the edge of the box into the top right hand corner.
However, Swifts struck back immediately when a shot was palmed out by goalkeeper, Kelly only to rebound off Dobbins and trickle into the net.
Colts continued to press and Diver had a shot cleared off the line just before the break which ensured that the teams entered the halftime break on level terms.
Swifts regained the lead early in the second half after a wonderful strike sailed past Kelly in the Colts goal but the Derry side continued to play their attractive passing game and scored the goal of the game when Keenan Diver finished off a wonderful passing move involving McDaid, McConomy and King to tie the match at 2-2.
However. with 10 minutes left on the clock Swifts took the lead in controversial circumstances when their striker stroked the ball home when he appeared to be in an offside position.
Colts, to their credit, continued to press for an equaliser and deservedly levelled with two minutes on the clock after Oisin McDaid headed home following an Aaron McCullough corner kick.
Colts thought they had snatched all three points in the final minute when Aaron McGurk curled a brilliant shot around the Swifts keeper only to see it rebound off the inside of the post before a defender managed to clear the danger.
