PHOENIX Swifts took full advantage of Westbank United’s failure to defeat Foyle Harps last weekend, the Swifts joining United at the top of the Premier Division table.

However, while Westbank hold the advantage of a game in hand, nothing can be taken for granted as the race for the title continues to hot up.

Meanwhile, in the Championship there were wins for Newton Heath, Northside Albion and Drumahoe with Newton and Drumahoe closing the gap on the leaders Red Star who were not in action last weekend.

In the First Division Gransha Institute moved 20 points clear at the top of the table as they defeated HML and Collon Celtic also recorded a good win while Hatmore Harps and Strabane Athletic shared the spoils.
