Swifts keep 100 per cent record

PHOENIX Swifts extended their 100 per cent record in last weekend’s Saturday Morning League programme with a win over Foyle Harps while challengers, Clifton Villa hammered Du Point.

Oxford defeated Magee University but failed to file a report and will now face a fine.

Championship leaders, Drumahoe, were held by near neighbours, Tamnaherin Celtic, while Red Star came from a goal down to beat Newton Heath 6-1.

Rocking Chair enjoyed a fine 4-0 win over Northside Albion while Sion Swifts recorded their first win of the season when defeating Foyle Athletic.

In the First Division Gransha Institute moved eight points clear at the top of the table having had a comprehensive victory over Top of the Hill Celtic Youth while all the other games in the division all ended in draws.

Meanwhile, the Committee and clubs of the Saturday Morning League extends deepest sympathy to Liam Healy (Newton Heath) and his family cricle following the tragic death of his son Adam.

May he rest in peace
