The Torrential rain that fell on Friday badly disrupted the Rathmor Motors Pre MOT Centre North West Saturday Morning League programme at the weekend.

The games that were to feature Benbradagh Colts, Strabane Athletic, Tamnaherin Celtic, Sion Swifts, Greysteel Celtic and Culmore were all lost due to waterlogged pitches.

More of a concern was that Foyle Harps failed to show for their fixture against Clifton Villa.

As a result Villa have been awarded three points and Harps have been fined £50 for not showing plus £64 expenses, bringing in a total fine of £114 which has must be paid within 14 days.

In the games that went ahead there were some upsets as Brandywell Celtic fought back from 2-0 down to defeat Creggan 3-2 and Clooney suffered an emphatic defeat to Du Pont.

The only other game in the Premiership saw Drumahoe’s woes continue as they were heavily defeated by Westbank United.

In the only game in the Championship, despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession Gransha Institute were narrowly defeated by Newton Heath.

In the First Division HML and Collon Celtic shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw while Hatmore Harps lost to Art Deco.

Elsewhere, Tristar recorded an impressive win over Oakleaf Celtic.
