Tricky tie as promoted Culmore debut in top flight

CULMORE will enter the Derry & District’s top flight this Sunday when the face a tricky tie against Tristar at St. Columb’s Park, the promoted side having enjoyed a free week on the opening weekend of fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Park Bar will entertain Abercorn while Lisahally travel to face Porter’s and Trojans and Oxford United Stars clash at the Templemore Sports Complex.

In the First Division, Derry City entertain The Bentley, Maydown host Phoenix, Crescent take on Campbell’s while A.O.H. Harps and Telstar host Ballymoor and City Herald respectively.

Meanwhile, at Monday night’s meeting home team were again urged to send report to the “Journal” sportsdesk by 5.00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

The two players sent off last week both received six match suspensions.

Team managers who are unable to attend Monday night meetings are advised to contact the Match Secretary, Liam Smyth, on a Sunday night or Monday to find out if they must pick up a match permit.
