CHAMPIONSHIP outfit, Tristar caused the upset of the day as the SML programme swung back into action at the weekend as they defeated high flying City Colts in dramatic fashion.

It was the first time this season the Colts have lost league points as Stephen Bullock netted in the last minute of the game to complete his brace and secure a precious 2-1 win for Tristar.

That was one of only nine games that went ahead on Saturday as the match involving Brandywell Celtic and Clifton Villa was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

In the Premiership Tamnaherin managed to defeat Bentley 2-1 while Du Pont battled well before losing 3-0 to Westbank United.

In the only other game in the top flight Hatmore Harps were narrowly defeated in a five goal thriller against Rosemount.

Meanwhile in the Championship Strabane Athletic recorded victory over Clooney while Artigarvan saw their losing streak continue as they were beaten by Newton Heath.

Sion Swifts defeated Foyle FC and Culmore managed to beat Phoenix Athletic Colts while Foyle Harps stayed clear at the top of the table thanks to their big win over Dungiven.
