Brandywell Celtic v Drumahoe (Prehen 6)

Brandywell had an excellent win last Saturday in the Blue Riband Cup when they defeated Clifton Villa to reach the quarter-finals and they should back that up with another win as they take on a Drumahoe side that have yet to win a game this season. Brandywell are a well organised outfit and although they may not be in the race for the title they will be looking to pip Creggan Swifts to a top four finish.

Drumahoe have only scored 13 goals all season in the league but astonishingly five of those goals came last week in their game with Foyle Harps as they lost out 7-5. They will no doubt have their work cut out for them here and it is a big ask for Drumahoe to take any thing from this game as Brandywell Celtic are expected to win comfortably.

Foyle Harps v Clifton Villa (Showgrounds)

Foyle did not have much of a side out last weekend forcing manager PJ Gallagher and his assistant Bradley into action but they still managed to win dispite conceding five goals. Villa had a bad day at the office last weekend when they were knocked out of the Blue Riband Cup by Brandywell so they will be looking to bounce straight back with a win. They sit three points behind top spot with a game in hand but as the leaders have a free weekend they can go joint

top with a win.

Foyle have no chance of lifting the league trophy themselves but they will have a big say on who does win the title. This will be a tough game for both teams but Clifton Villa have the bigger ‘carrot’ dangling in front of them and for that reason alone, should be able to take all three points.

Creggan Swifts v Phoenix Swifts (St. Columb’s 3)

Creggan are the most improved side in the Premier Division this season and last week held the leaders to a 0-0 draw. They will be going all out here to spoil Phoenix Swifts’ day as they are fighting to finish in a top four place. Phoenix will be greatful for the favour Creggan did them last weekend by holding the leaders and a win here for them would see them go joint top but Creggan will not give Phoenix anything easy. Declan Divan has this Creggan side playing some excellent football and they are going into games fearing no-one and are also expecting to win every game they play. This looks a very tight game and will be all about who can take their chances when the opportunities arrive.

Both these sides are more than capable of winning but they may have to settle foe a share of the spoils.
