CLIFTON Villa appear to have crashed out of the race for the Premier Division title having failed to overcome Foyle Harps on Saturday, the share of the spoils now what the Waterside men required.

Meanwhile, Brandywell Celtic made hard work of it in their win over Drumahoe while Phoenix Swifts joined Westbank at the top of the table thanks to what could prove a vital win over Creggan Swifts.

In all, eight of the scheduled nine games kicked-off despite the poor weather conditions.

There was just one game played in the Championship, Gransha Institute defeating Tamnaherin Celtic 2-0.

In the First Division the title race remains wide open as Collon Celtic overcame HML and the leaders, Tristar, had a good win over Culmore. Hatmore Harps failed to file a report and are now fined £10 while the Greysteel Celtic v Oakleaf Celtic was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Art Deco kept their title hopes alive with a narrow win over Oxford United.

The Saturday Morning League annual general meeting will take place in the Rocking Chair Lounge on Tuesday, May 28th next at 7.45 p.m. sharp.

All clubs must be represented and failure to do so will be viewed as future exclusion from the league.

In previous years the Committee allowed some leeway in relations to the payment of the annual registration fee, however, this practice has ceased and the £60 fee must be paid on the night. Failure to do so will also be interpreted as exclusion from the league.

Any club seeking a rule change must send their new wording, quoting the current rule number and wording, by recorded delivery to the League Secretary by April 30th next.

Any new clubs seeking to make application to join the Saturday Morning League must also submit their details in writing, by recorded delivery, to the League Secretary by April 30th. Any other mode of application will be discounted.
