Westbank, Brandywell into Gilfillan Cup final

WESTBANK qualified for their third successive Gilfillan Cup Final by defeating eight-man Rosemount to set up a St. Stephen’s Day meeting with Brandywell Celtic who overcame Phoneix in the other semi-final.

In the Premier Division only one game survived and that saw Clooney beat Clifton Villa 2-0. In the Championship, Drumahoe defeated Newton Heath while there was also wins for Rocking Chair, Tamnaherin Celtic and Red Star.

In the First Division, League vleaders Gransha Institute enjoyed a very good win while Oakleaf Celtic came from a goal down to snatch a draw in Strabane.

There were no reports filed from the Top of the Hill Celtic v Collegians and Collon Celtic v Hatmore Harps matches and both sides are facing a £15 fine as this is a third offence of the season for both

The league will take a break over the Christmas period and the last fixtures before Christmas will be played on Saturday 10th December 2011
