PHOENIX Swifts enjoyed an impressive victory over Premier Division leaders, Westbank United in last weekend’s Saturday Morning League programme, with just 10 of the scheduled 12 games kicking-off.

The two matches lost were in the Championship - Strabane Athletic and Tamnaherin was called off due to a bereavement while the game involving Benbradagh Colts v Gransha Institute was also postponed due to illness.

In addition to the Phoenix Swifts victory, there were also victories for Rosemount Creggan Swifts and Clifton Villa while Drumahoe earned their first point of the season following a 2-2 draw with Clooney.

In the one game played in the Championship Olympic F.C. had a good win over Sion Swifts and in the First Division Tristar defeated Greysteel; Oxford and Culmore shared the spoils; Hatmore Harps lost out to HML and Collegians were beaten by Collon Celtic.
