Westbank move clear on Premier Summit

WESTBANK United moved three points clear on the Saturday Morning League’s Premier Division summit following their 6-0 thrashing of Foyle Harps on Saturday, while second placed Clifton Villa were defeated by Phoenix Swifts.

Brandywell Celtic also had a good win over Du Pont while Creggan Swifts hammered Clooney.

Meanwhile, in the Championship Strabane Athletic moved to the top of the table thanks to their victory over Newton Heath while Gransha Institute hit Foyle Athletic for five without reply.

In the First Division leaders Art Deco consolidated their place at the top when defeating Oakleaf Celtic 5-0 while Collon Celtic remain in the race for the title having defeated Culmore 4-0.

Hatmore Harps lost out to Greysteel Celtic and Oxford United were trounced by HML.

Saturday, November 24th - Premier Division - Brandywell Celtic v Rosemount (St. Columb’s 2); Du Pont v Foyle Harps (Du Pont); Westbank United v Creggan Swifts (Prehen 1); Drumahoe v Clifton Villa (YMCA); Clooney v Phoenix Swifts (Lisnagelvin 2).

The Championship - Foyle Athletic v Tamnaherin Celtic (Vale Centre); Newton Heath v Northside Stars (Leafair Park); Sion Swifts v Benbradagh Colts (Strabane).

First Division - Tristar v Greysteel Celtic ((Prehen 6); Collon Celtic v Oakleaf Celtic (Lisnagelvin 4); Hatmore Harps v Oxford United (Templemore Central).
