Mixed weekend for Derry GAA

Derry’s footballers were downed by Longford in Saturday’s Round One All-Ireland Football Qualifying clash in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

The Oak Leafers lost 0-17 to 2-8 - Paddy Bradley scored three of the Derry points, with the others coming from John McCamley 2, Mark Lynch, Eoin Bradley and and Emmett McGuckin.

It was better news for Derry in the Ulster Senior Hurling Championship Semi Final - with the hurlers winning 0-24 to 0-13.
