IN THE race for the Premier Division title, current champions Porter's maintained their winning start to the League campaign with a comfortable victory over Bluebell Celtic on Sunday.

Joint leaders, Top of the Hill Celtic sustained the pressure on the reigning champions with an emphatic 8-1 win over Metro while fellow title hopefuls, Bogside Inn recorded an impressive 5-1 victory over The 720.

Elsewhere Three Flowers secured their second successive win following a 3-1 victory over Oxford Colts and Celtic Swifts held Brandywell Harps to a scoreless draw at Swilly Stadium.

Meanwhile in the League Cup semi-finals Don Bosco’s Youths eased their way into next week’s final after a 5-1 victory over old rivals Crescent and in the second semi-final Lisahally defeated Trojans 4-1 after extra-time.

And in the First Round of the McAlinden Cup Downey’s held on in a tense encounter to secure a 3-2 victory over City Harps.
