Johnny Harding (3) carded a fantastic 68 gross around North-West’s Lisfannon on Saturday in the Miller Cup to win on the break of tie from John O’Hagan (13).

Johnny was out in 36 (one over) but birdies at the 12th, 15th and 18th saw him return home in 32 shots and claim a well deserved victory in windy conditions.

Kieron McGinty (12) finished in third with 39 points with Gregory Boyce in 4th with 38 points.

Tommie Caldwell picked up the Back Nine with 22 points.

Meanwhile, in the Dr. McLaughlin Cup competition on Sunday, the Lisfannon club witnessed its second sub par round of the weekend when Colin Starrett (3) carded an impressive 68 nett to claim the top honour.

Level par on the front nine set Colin up for a great finish and he didn’t disappoint, posting 33 on the back nine to finish a shot ahead of Kieran Toner (15) on 66 nett.

Colin Barlow (9) lost out to Kieran’s better back nine for the runners-up spot and finished in third.

Stewart McGinlay (5) claimed fourth spot, also on break of tie, with the back nine going to Eunan O’Boyle with 22 points.

Meanwhile in last Tuesday’s Open “Meal Deal” event, Pauric O’Flaherty (3) carded a fine 37 points in windy conditions.

Pauric has been posting some good scores lately and was a deserving winner on this occasion. Neal Cooke finished in 2nd with 35 points.
