Ballyliffin Golf Club’s highly popular lady President, Kathleen Cuddihy (right) will stage her eagerly anticipated Lady President’s Day tomorrow.

Kathleen has been an exemplary and active member of the Co. Donegal club, holding the position of Lady Captain in 1999.

A retired nurse, Kathleen is renowned for her great charity work, raising vast sums of money for The Cardiology Unit in Letterkenny Hospital.

As President, she has proven to be a gentle and sympathetic leader who empathises with all members, both established and novice. The Ballyliffin lady members wish Kathleen a very successful and memorable day.

Dinner will be served at 8 p.m followed by entertainment by ‘Shunie’.

City of Derry Ladies

Full results for the Kathleen Nevin Cup Medal competition were - 1, Esther Milligan (19) 71; 2, Lou Peoples (22) 74; 3, Rita O’Kane (26) 75; CSS - 73.

The winner will receive a City of Derry Centenary Medal in addition to the Kathleen Nevin Cup. These will be presented on Lady Captain’s Day.

Next week’s competition is Nellie Garrett Cups Foursomes, Stableford competition.

Foyle Ladies

Mrs Avril Gallagher hosted a highly successful Lady President’s Day on Saturday last with top honours going to Maureen Louden who returned a fine score of 39 points to defeat Anne Hamilton on break of tie.

On behalf of the Ladies Branch the Lady Captain, Jennifer Rainey would like to thank the Lady President for her hospitality and the beautiful array of prizes on offer.

Lady Captain Cora will host her Ladies Captain’s day on Saturday, June 23rd. All ladies will meet at 10.30 a.m for the usual refreshments, Lady Captain’s draw will take place at 11 a.m.
