NORTH-West Golf Club’s highly respected Lady President, Mrs. Una Grant, will host her “big day” at Lisfannon this afternoon.
A long standing, loyal member of the Inishowen club, Una’s contribution over the years has been significant.
Indeed, the valueable contribution of the Grant family circle cannot be over-stated and there’s no doubt that this afternoon’s “Shotgun Start” competition will be well supported by the club’s Lady Branch.
A past captain, Una’s expertise is also widely respected within the Golfing Union of Ireland as she has been regularly been appointed to independently measure the length and wideth of golf courses based within the County Donegal area and further afield in years gone by.
A competent golfer, Una’s high profile at North-West has and continues to be gratefully acknowledged by the Lisfannon club’s membership.
The Lady President’s Prize will tee-off at 2.00 p.m. this afternoon and with a full timesheet, the celebrations are expected to progress well into the small hours.
