WATCH: McGuinness wins 2015 Jog in the Bog

RECORD numbers turned out for this year’s popular Jog in the Bog 5k race held in memory of the late Colm Quigley on Thursday evening with an impressive entry of almost 600 runners taking to the streets of the Bogside.

There were 466 finishers in total with Blast Bootcamp’s Chris McGuinness taking top spot, posting a superb time of 16.23 mins, 14 seconds ahead of Fighting Fit’s Pius McIntyre 16.37 and 18 year-old Foyle Valley athlete Roy McGilloway who crossed the line at the Gasyard Centre in 17.01,

North West Track Club’s Joseph Strunks finished fourth (18.15) while Conor McDowell, representing Rise took fifth place in 18.19.

Foyle Valley’s Martina McMullan was the first female home in a time of 20.24 with 12 year-old Lily Tourish of Derry City Track Club finishing second in 20.50 and Grainne Neill, of Born to Run, third in 20.52.
