Foyle announce second sponsor

F0yle Cycling Club have announced that local contractor T. McLaughlin & Sons Ltd. will sponsor their ‘Campsie Criterium,’ a series of races run over six Wednesday evenings starting on Wednesday, May 2nd next and running until late summer.

The local firm will also help fund the F.C.C. race team in pre-season training which starts at the end of February.

T. McLaughlin & Sons Ltd. are Specialists in plant hire, demolition, haulage and civil engineering and run their business out of Ardmore with owner, Terry McLaughlin, also a keen member of the Foyle club.

Indeed, this year Terry will be taking out his full racing licence and travelling across the country with the 10-man racing team that consists - Aaron Deane, Chris Philson, Colin Mckenna, Danny Logue, Eamon Doherty, Jim Doyle, Lawrence Watson, Matthew Doyle, Richard Sheerin, Simon Gill and, hopefully, a few more from the club within the next month, including some of the up and coming female cyclists.

Club runs leave from the Sports Complex every Saturday and Sunday at 9 am. The ‘T. McLaughlin & Sons Campsie Crit’ is open to all club members. Anyone interested in joining the club or racing team, visit foylecycling.net.
