Sean proved too strong in the final for James hitting seven 180s on the night in what was a superb display from the winner.

The other two semi-finalists, Gavin Carlin (Carraig Bar) and Terry O’Kane (Fairview), both took out strongly fancied players on their way to the last four. Terry defeated Mailey’s Anthony whoriskey in the shock result of the night while other pre-tournament favourites Sean Gallagher, Bobby McLaughlin and Michael Wallace also fell in the early rounds of an excellent competition.
