Villa extend lead at top

In the end it was the Waterside men's clinical finishing which stood them in good stead as Westbank performed well before narrowly losing out 3-2 at the final whistle.

Villa’s victory, plus the defeat of second placed Abercorn, sees the men from the top of the hill extend their lead.

Bohemians made it two wins on the bounce when they recorded a 2-1 win over Benbradagh Colts and Brandywell Celtic secured another three points at the expense of Newton Heath.

In the Championship Creggan Swifts still lead the way as they beat Drumahoe 4-1 at the YMCA and Top of the Hill Celtic Youth moved into second place with a 2-1 win over Foyle Harps.
