One of County Tyrone's greatest historical assets has been severely damaged by fire.
Fire crews are currently attending a blaze at the ancestral home of former American president Woodrow Wilson at Dergalt, near Strabane.

The thatched roof of the cottage, which once belonged to the family of Woodrow Wilson, caught fire at around mid-day today (Thursday).

Fire crews from Strabane and Newtonstewart are at the scene.

Woodrow Wilson was president of the United States from 1913 to 1921.

His grandfather emigrated from County Tyrone to North Carolina in the early 19th century.
