"Sometimes I do get to places just when God is ready to have somebody click the shutter." This is a quote from the famous American landscape photographer Ansel Adams – and surely must apply to the members of Strabane and District Camera Club and their new exhibition at The Alley Theatre.
This popular district wide camera club has been refreshed since a re-launch seeking new members in September 2006 and is proud to hold its first exhibition which opens on Monday, May 12th until Saturday 7th June.

Strabane and District Camera Club
has over 40 members who meet weekly from September to June, where they hold monthly competitions, invite lecturers who cover a wide range of topics from close up photography through to portraits, printing and landscapes.

80 images

The exhibition will show 80 images and covers a wide range of subjects, from landscapes, portraits, events and much more in general, the best time of the day to take photographs is around either sunrise or sunset when the light is best – and you will see from the exhibition that the club members do suffer for their art by getting up very early and going to out of the way places to get that truly special photograph.

All the prints are for sale through The Alley Theatre and the club members have agreed that all proceeds will be shared by two charities, Marie Curie Cancer Fund and Save The Children.

For further information please contact The Alley on 028 7138 4444 or visit www.alley-theatre.com.
