Police appeal for info after car theft

Police in Strabane are appealing for information following the theft of a car from a property on the Hospital Road in Castlederg sometime during Saturday night past. The silver Ford Focus KHZ 4213 was sighted in the Omagh area at 4.20am on Sunday.
Anyone with information regarding the theft or current whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to contact police at Strabane on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously through the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity on 0800 555 111.

Assault in Sion

Police are investigating a report of an assault on a 30-year-old man in the Sion Mills area during the early hours of Sunday. It is understood the man was walking home along the Melmount Road when he was attacked by another man at approximately 1.30am. The victim sustained injuries to his nose and body. Anyone who was in the area and could help police with their enquires is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity on 0800 555 111.
