A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged sex attack in Strabane.
A woman in her 40s was sexually assaulted in the town’s water wall area late on Friday, June 5.

Police confirmed yesterday that one man had been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.

However, detectives have appealed for information on the attack.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are keen to hear from anyone in the area between 11pm on Friday June 5th and 12.30am who could further help with their investigation.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the PSNI's Rape Crime Unit in Ballymena on 2566 7214 or the 'Crimestoppers' charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
