A Derry girl who kept a record of all the events she attended during the year of Culture has showed her scrapbook to Culture Company Chief Executive Shona McCarthy.
Amy Hutcheon kept a detailed account of all the concerts and activities she enjoyed from the Culture programme.
They ranged from the Starlight Express show at the Millennium Forum, taking part in the Annie World Record attempt and visiting the Turner Prize Gallery.
“I had a brilliant time during the City of Culture year,” she said.
“My favourite thing was probably Lumiere because I loved seeing Derry lit up. I also really liked the Return of Colmcille because I was one of the children who got to hide inside the box.
“My mammy really liked the London Symphony Orchestra. I was really lucky because I got to meet the Turner Prize winner Laure Prouvost.
“She showed us her Wantee Art and I got to make my own special tea towel with.
“I also went into the Turner Gallery to see the Tino Shegal exhibition. I had to talk to the people there and they gave me one pound.”
Shona McCarthy invited Amy to her office earlier this week to see the scrap book.
