Roaring Meg Bike Show a '˜massive success'

The Roaring Meg Bike Show at the weekend proved to be a massive hit at the weekend, Feile 2016 organisers have said.

Over 200 bikers got their motors running and revved along highways to converge on the City Walls on Saturday with hundreds turning out to join them during the day.

Vintage and specialist bikes and scooters were among those on display, along with a convoy of eye-catching Mad Max-type vehicles.

The event was the opener for the Feile 2016 Festival, which will see dozens of events staged in the city over the next fortnight.

Linda McKinney from Feile 2016, said the Bike Show was a massive success.

“It was absolutely amazing,” she said. “There was a great turnout and we had 2017 bikes on the Walls and around 40 in the car park. Thankfully the weather played its part as well.”
