The Waterside Theatre’s Intergenerational Mosaic Art Project, in conjunction with Rectory Field Care Home and Oakgrove Integrated Primary School, are having an exhibition launch to showcase their beautiful and inspiring pieces of mosaic artwork that they have been painstakingly putting together over the past 14 weeks.
The Launch will take place on Friday, December 14 at 2pm in the Cascade Gallery at the Waterside Theatre. Entry is free and all are welcome to attend. The artwork will be displayed for one week in the Cascade Gallery before being moved to its final place of residence at Rectory Field Care Home.
Amanda–Jane Prow, Community Arts Officer for the Waterside Theatre said: “This intergenerational project, facilitated by artist Hilary Doherty has been a tremendous success. It has had a very positive impact, both on the students and residents alike, who connected so well together on this project, proving that art is accessible to all, irrelevant of age.”
The Intergenerational Mosaic Art Project at the Waterside Theatre was kindly funded by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Arts and Older People programme.
