A local representative from Inishowen Tourism said Justin would be in good company if he set up home in the area.

Angela Byrne, Interim Manager, was speaking to the ‘Journal’ after an Irish bookmakers announced they were offering 10-1 odds on Justin Bieber setting up home in Ireland.

The betting has soared after the Canadian pop star posted a stunning picture of the Rock of Cashel on Instagram, accompanied by musings on his disaffection with celebrity awards ceremonies and the importance of keeping it real.

Since the post earlier this week, Irish bookmaker Coral.ie has taken a flurry of bets on Justin Bieber setting up a home in Ireland.

The firm is offering odds of 10-1 that he buys a house somewhere in Ireland.

If Bieber did set up home in the North West, he would be neighbours with a host of stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, who have a holiday home in Kilcar.

Angela Byrne said Justin would be more than welcome to the peninsula.

“We welcome new residents from all over,” she said. “Inishowen has attracted people from oversees looking to embrace our easy going way, wonderful scenery and attractions and quality of life, and if Justin Bieber wants to come we would treat him as one of our own.”

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter is also no stranger to Ireland having performed here before and also having attending the MTV Awards in Belfast in 2011.

However, Coral.ie don’t believe that the pop star, if he does buy a house, will up sticks and move here permanently, making it a 100-1 shot.

“Bieber’s latest Instagram picture has set tongues wagging, sparking a flurry of bets on the singer getting on the property ladder in Ireland. He wouldn’t be the first big name to move to Ireland,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

Coral.ie is also offering odds of 20-1 for Justin Bieber to be pictured holding a pint of Guinness.

Justin posted alongside the picture of Ireland: “There’s an authenticity missing that I crave! And I wonder does anybody else...”

He also said he did not enjoy going to award shows, stating: “These award shows seem so hollow.”

The record-breaking star has an army of Irish fans, part of the dedicated international ‘Beliebers’ movement.

He rose to fame after being spotted through his Youtube videos back in 2007.
