Local unsung heroes have had their achievements recognised and celebrated during a lavish ceremony to mark the first Derry Journal Derry People Of the Year Awards, sponsored by The Progressive Building Society.
Many recipients received standing ovations and cheers as the came up to collect their awards last night.
Below is a list of the 16 individuals and organisations who scooped awards and took home the Glenview Trophies at the event.
