The first heat of the competition, which will be held in Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin on Saturday evening, will be judged by well-known musician Marcas Ó Murchú and Gerry Downey, first director of Theatre Studies in the North-West College’s Performance Arts programme.
Each programme will consist of a sketch or playlet and three other elements chosen from the following: instrumental music, dancing (set or solo), singing, storytelling, lúibíní or conjuring.
The first heat will involve Aisteoirí na hÓmaí from Omagh and Splanc! from Derry.
