At this time of year, our thoughts turn to where to go on holiday but we often do not think about the beautiful countryside within a few hour’s drive of the City.
A photographic exhibition in Eden Place Arts Centre will show the ‘Wild and Rugged Places’ visited by members of the Foyle Hillwalking and Rambling Club on their walks in North of Ireland and further afield.
The collection shows the familiar and unfamiliar, many places only accessible on foot. The exhibition will be opened by the newly appointed President of Mountaineering Ireland, Ursula MacPherson. This will be her first official engagement in her new role.
This collection of member’s photographs opens on Wednesday, May 9, at 19.30 and continues until May 23.
Anyone interested can come along on the opening night to Eden Place Arts Centre, Pilot’s Row Centre or find more details on our website: www.foylehillwalkingclub.co.uk.
