Nick Laird, the acclaimed poet and novelist (Faber & Faber), is making a flying visit to Derry tomorrow, Saturday 21st September.
Nick will be reading some of his work in Skeoge House, Leafair, at 11am with a men’s health group as part of the Verbal Arts Centre’s Reading Rooms project. He will be hosting a public event in the Verbal Arts Centre that afternoon at 3pmwhere he will be chatting to Marie-Louise Muir (BBC Arts Extra) about his writing and reading from his last book ‘Go Giants’.
He’s no stranger to the city - his family lived in the Waterside for a number of years.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
