This Thursday night, July 26, will see Sandinos Venue bouncing to the sounds of renowned Pink tribute act Alecia Karr in a special fundraising event for next month’s Foyle Pride Festival.
Alecia Karr, a singer-songwriter and star of television and radio, has performed throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe and is enjoying widespread acclaim from industry professionals.
From the tip of her blonde hair to her 24 tattoo’s Alecia bears a striking resemblance to her international idol, and had the ultimate privilege in 2009of getting to , sing live to Pink before a crowd of over 10,000!
Alecia was also highly privileged to be the guest of honour of ‘Pink Live at the Marquee’ in Cork.
In November 2011, Alecia was invited to open the VIP area for the MTV awards at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, where she rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest stars of TV and screen.
Alecia will take her audience into the world of pink with her outstanding attention to detail, amazing vocals and tantalizing image.

Derry’s Foyle Pride Festival will return this year for a third time from August 22-26, and organisers promise an even bigger and better festival than the last with 2012’s theme revealed as ‘Exploring Identity’. Last year, 7,400 people attended the Foyle Pride Parade alone.
The Foyle Pride Parade itself is a spectacular and colourful event, its carnival atmosphere creating a fantastic day out for all the family.
The parade takes place on Saturday, August 25, leaving Waterside Station for the Guildhall at 2pm.
