Brothers musical - it's just bloody brilliant

Blood Brothers opened to a full house at the Millennium Forum on Tuesday night and had the audience gripped as it moved from one emotional number to another.

Featuring one of the strongest casts I’ve seen on a Forum stage, Lyn Paul played out every emotion portraying Mrs Johnstone. With emotional songs such as Easy Terms and the show stopping Tell Me It’s not True, I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She was born for this role.

The show also features a fantastic narrator in Dean Chisnall and the on stage chemistry he had with Mrs J was infectious.

But it was the sensational Sean Jones as Mickey who has the audience eating out of his hands. I dare anyone not to shed a tear when he and brother Eddie, played by Joel Benedict in this production with an affectionate campness, linked hands and swore to be Blood Brothers.
