With its official launch still days away, the newly published ‘Derry Journal: The Lost Archives’ continues to soar locally and has topped the charts in the Eason Bestsellers List.
‘The Lost Archives’ is flying off the shelves,” says Kirk Anderson, Manager of Eason Foyleside. “It’s the No.1 selling book in the shop and is doing exceptionally well. I would expect it to be the No.1 bestselling book in Derry this Christmas, probably even outselling Maeve Binchy and Cecilia Ahern.”
The book, compiled by reporter Sean McLaughlin and published by Guildhall Press, will no doubt be in many a Christmas stocking this year.
“It’s great to know that the book is selling so well,” Sean McLaughlin said yesterday. “Hopefully, it will continue to sell and end up as a Christmas present for people both at home and abroad.”
Likewise, Paul Hippsley, Managing Editor of Guildhall Press, is thrilled that the book is No.1 Bestseller in Eason.
“It’s fantastic news,” Mr Hippsley said. “This doesn’t happen very often, in fact maybe just once or twice before in 30 years of Guildhall Press. Long may it continue!”
