Derry man, Martin McCafferty, who is a member of the Simon Cowell managed group ‘Jack Pack’, is “incredibely proud” of the band’s debut single ‘Say You Love Me’.
Martin, 33, is from Kingsfort Park in Derry and along with the other three members of ‘Jack Pack’ signed to Cowell’s record label ‘SyCo’ last year.
“Listening to ‘Say You Love Me’, you wouldn’t know this was written in the last year, let alone this century, Martin told the ‘Journal’.
“It has a real classic feel, which we love, and it sits beautifully next to age-old records like ‘I Put A Spell On You’ and ‘My Way’ on our album. We’re incredibly proud to have a gem like this to call our own. We hope it stands the test of time like the other songs,” he added.
‘Say You Love Me’ was co-written by One Direction’s hit writer Ed Drewett and John Reid (who has written for Tina Turner and Rod Stewart).
‘Jack Pack’ are Alfie Palmer, Andrew Bourn, Martin McCafferty and Sean Ryder Wolf. They will be performing at BBC Proms in The Park in London’s Hyde Park this weekend.
